Pre-School Learning Alliance

Playgroup is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, a national organization dedicated to supporting the work of pre-school establishments.  For further information please ask at Playgroup or visit their website www.pre-school.org.uk

 Playgroup policies and procedures

Full details of all playgroup policies and procedure can be found on the notice board within playgroup, however, as part of the Education Reform Act we are obliged to notify parents specifically of our complains procedure.

Complaints Procedure

If you are concerned about your child or any matter relating to playgroup, we would prefer you to come and discuss the matter immediately before minor problems become major ones.

In the first instance, concerns are to be addressed to the playgroup supervisor, and following this, the Playgroup Committee.  If these options do not prove satisfactory OFSTEAD may be contacted, please see their website for further details.

Communication

Notice board - Please read the parent’s notice board weekly.  This is currently located above the packed lunch box trolley.

E-mail - Newsletters are sent periodically.  Although you are welcome to a paper copy we prefer to e-mail as this cuts down on paper.  Please ensure that if you are an e-mailer, we have your address.

The A-frame – This is placed outside playgroup every day.  It pays to take a quick glance at the A-frame daily as this can tell you useful information.

Letter, duty rota, bills – these are sent home with your child at the end of a session

If you have any special requirements and would like us to communicate to you in a different way, please let Auntie Heather know.
