Daily Routine and sessions

We now take children from age 2 years in our morning sessions.  We have 30 places available in each session, a maximum of 8 can be allocated to 2 year olds.

 Monday a.m                – 2 years and above

Monday p.m                – Pre-School only

Tuesday a.m               – 2 years and above

Wednesday a.m          - 2 years and above

Wednesday p.m          - Pre-School only

Thursday a.m             - 2 years and above

Friday a.m                  - 2 years and above

 4 hour session - £10 per session (or one grant session plus £2.50)

These sessions are particularly beneficial for working parents who need the extra time.  A minimum of six children are required for the 4 hour session to take place.

8.45 - 9.15                  Arrive, toast and play in the outdoor area

9.15 – 9.30                  Settle on the mat, register taken and explanation of the day’s themes and activities

9.30 – 10.30                Free playtime.  Choice of 4 or 5 activities together with painting, sandplay, home corner, dressing up, outdoor play and many more.

10.30 – 11.00             Tidy up time.  Story, songs and rhymes on the mat.  Hand wash

11.00 – 11.40               Milk, fruit/veg and biscuits sitting at the tables.  Outdoor play and indoor dancing activities

11.40 – 12.00              Story time and a song, celebrations including birthdays, certificates and personal achievements

12.00 – 12.45              Childrens choice of activity, toast and juice, coats on ready for home time.

 3 hour session - £7.50 per session (or one grant session)

Children attending the three hour session follow the same timetable but arrive at 9 o’clock and leave at 12 noon.

Please note that our insurance policy means that a child in only insured on the premises during their agreed session time.  For this reason we ask parents to arrive a maximum of 5 minutes before a session begins and to be punctual when collecting children.

Each 3 hour session, 9 – 12 noon or 12 noon – 3, costs £7.50, a four hour session, 8.45 – 12.45, costs £10. From the term following your child’s third birthday, they are entitled to five ‘grant’ sessions from the government. A grant session is 3 hours.  You will be asked to sign a Grant form by our treasurer which will then automatically pay for up to 5 of your sessions until further notice.

Your grant can be split between different registered playgroups, nurseries and childminders.
